The History of the Place
A natural setting in the heart of Les Grands-Fonds
Villa Terra Caribea was born in a unique territory. Located in the Grands-Fonds of Le Gosier, the house is part of a landscape shaped by the relief, the forest, and the history of Guadeloupe.
Here, nature tells an ancient story. The dry forest, also known as the xerophilous forest, is one of the most precious and fragile natural environments on the island. This territory boasts rich vegetation, including the majestic Acomat, a rare and endangered tree.
A living landscape to preserve: the Grands-Fonds are a true biodiversity reservoir. Around the villa, keep an eye out for the local raccoon (Racoon) and the Guadeloupe Woodpecker, which rely on these protected woodlands.
« Our commitment: to inhabit without destroying. To make Villa Terra Caribea a starting point to discover nature. To observe rather than take. To respect rather than transform. Because such a precious territory deserves to be discovered... and preserved. »
